Town of Nebo Archaeological Project / مشروع بلدة نيبو الأثري
Since 2017 I have worked with the Town of Nebo Archaeological Project, serving as the Field Director with Debra Foran in the excavations at the site of Khirbat al-Mukhayyat in the Kingdom of Jordan. Mukhayyat is identified as the ancient site of Iron Age Nebo, known from biblical texts and from the Mesha Inscription, a text that describes the conquest of the site by Mesha of Moab from the Omrides of Israel. Mukhayyat has a long history of human occupation, with its most intense phases during the Iron Age, Hellenistic, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods. Our current work at the site focuses on establishing the phases and nature of occupation during the first millennium BCE.

Jaffa Cultural Heritage Project
Previously, I worked with the Jaffa Cultural Heritage Project in the excavations at Tel Yafo/Jaffa, directed by Aaron Burke and Martin Peilstöcker. Jaffa is a fascinating tell site, located adjacent the Mediterranean and serving as an important regional port. Our excavations here focused on the Late Bronze Age, excavating part of a New Kingdom Egyptian fortress that was a part of the Egyptian Empire in the Levant, and on the Persian and Hellenistic period remains.

Wadi ath-Thamad Project (Khirbat al-Mudayna Thamad)
Prior, I excavated at the site of Khirbat al-Mudayna, as a part of the Wadi ath-Thamad Project in Jordan, directed by Michèle Daviau. Excavations here focused on the Iron Age and Nabatean period remains.
